Prior to being merged into Future Forests Research the Plantation Management Cooperative looked at the effects of site, silviculture and genetics on plantation growth, quality and value. It also looks at interactions between agriculture and forestry, and develops methods to evaluate the physical, economic, social and environmental consequences of forestry
