Commercial Environmental Forestry (CEF)

Commercial Environmental Forestry (CEF) is a research program to develop capability and decision support tools to:

  • Reduce risk for investors in forestry and revegetation schemes
  • Make most cost-effective use of public and private funds

This enables assessments at Regional and Farm scales


CEF has studied a range of forest types, including:

  • Commercial forest species – sugar gum, spotted gum, blue gum, radiata pine and oil mallees.

  • Environmental plantings and on-farm remnant forest.
