CSIRO Forest Biosciences Deputy Chief - Dr David Robson
Dr David Robson is Deputy Chief for CSIRO Forestry Biosciences. He has been working with Ensis since 2005 as Science Coordinator before becoming Chief Operations Officer in June 2006 and then Deputy Chief Executive in December 2006, prior to the transition to a collaboration agreement.

David’s current role involves assisting key staff with strategic contact with both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the strategic science and operational leadership of CSIRO Forest Biosciences
Background
David has previously worked for Aberdeen University in the UK, the Building Research Establishment in the UK, the BioComposites Centre as a Research Manager in the UK, TNO in the Netherlands as Head of the Centre for Timber Research, CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products as a Portfolio Manager of the Wood Products and Processing Portfolio and then Assistant Chief - Operations.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. degree in Wood Science and a Ph.D. in Forestry

- Previously Vice-chairman of the European COST Technical Committee on Forests and Forestry Products

- CCEA scholarship from University of Wales (1980) to study in Washington D.C. for a year.
