Ensis has released a comprehensive report, titled ‘Tree Water Use in Forestry Compared to other Dry-Land Agricultural Crops in the Victorian Context’.
Funded by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries, this review summarizes current information on the use of water by forests in relation to other land uses. It takes a forward-looking approach by describing how current knowledge might be used to guide policy, and by identifying what further information is required to improve policy directions and the work required to get there.
The report is available from the Ensis website at www.ensisjv.com/plantationsandwater .
